I’d love to but I’ve not got any pics! Suffice to say its my trusty inbred and I’ve put some Bontrager 262 or 29″ wheel compatable carbon forks on it, and I’m loving it. Fairly relaxed head angle with 26″ wheels. I rode it up the Col du Corbier on Saturday and came down off road, was ace! I will take a pic and update asap.

that’s interesting, I wondered about putting some 29er forks on mine to relax the angles a bit. what length fork is the inbred intended for?

What worries ma about these photos is that they all seem to have been taken against a backdrop which might be taken to show the “limitations” of rigid carbon forks.

I haven’t limited the use of carbon rigids. The more limiting factor was the singlespeed set up. Another of the Bonty

now fitted with a rohloff instead of the alfine and some winter tyres.

i find i use this all the time now and leave my FS in the garage most of the time.

That Spot is full of WIN – lovely!

Unfortunately have no photos of mine – mid 90’s Kona of uncertain pedigree with Bonty Switchblades.

Soon to be transplanted with a Kinesis Decade Virtue frame, my first proper ss – though the road legs on the commute might see it get gears again fairly soon. No disc mounts on the Kona else I’d have persevered.. but the rear V I bodged up is proving more hassle than I’d like.

And whats with all the singlespeeds

They’re fun, and lend themselves to rigidnessification.

    It looks really nice

That’ll be one of these cheap, low-quality, Chinese Titanium frames. In my case, it’s the equivalent of an Airborne Lancaster/Van Nicholas Zion, only I got it for £350 (delivered) via ebay.

The welds are, apparently, rubbish – but strangely enough, it hasn’t bent or imploded, despite being dragged around an over the Scottish Highlands, often with tent etc strapped onto a rack.

And whats with all the singlespeeds

less to go wrong, less weight, same argument applies to both rigid forks and SS
No gears is easier than no suspension IMO.

    Certainly doesn’t look like a £350 frame!!!!!!

I have cheep and cheerful 29er from a Diamondback Mojito 29er,ebay purchase.

I know the back wheel in on wrong and that’s a 26″ wheel in a 29er fork, I was just looking a tyer sizes and clearance in the frame and forks.

Apparently, all the rabid blind gibbons are already employed in the US.
