Roads clear near me. Go for it!

Only you can tell what its like in your area, but the roads in Derbyshire are covered in ice. My bike would be staying in the shed if the conditions are icy.

Saw a committed looing roadie mincing down the road this morning, in full club kit but obviously very worried about black ice.

I went swimming with the kids instead – will commute by car tomorrow to see how the roads are looking/feeling before I venture out on a bike.

    Did ya?
Some ride today, Chilterns Wendover etc.
Ivinghoe Beacon covered in dense fog or cloud bur warm, then Dunstable Downs were sunny and freezing.
As I headed back the hills were foggy one side and clear and frozen the other. Typically the steepest climb ‘The Crong’ was still covered in ice and I faceplanted into the bank of the decent.
Probably the slowest 100k of the year.

Hey swadey, you should have been out with the Wobblies this morning. We went mincing offroad around Strelley, and miraculously all survived!
