Hi, does anyone use these? i'm thinking of retireing my DX spd's and getting some of them. Are they still big enough to ride unclipped if you repostion your shoes to the arch area, for really rough stuff?
thanks!

hey there. I bought 2 sets of the cheap ones after missing my old DX to see if they would do the same thing.
They dont, quite. They feel very different to SPDs with no cage, much more support. but they dont quite have the feel of the 747 or old DX that you could ride them unclipped.

I still use these old shimano pedals(I have two new unused pairs in the garage too).

they work well unclipped if need be.Posted 4 months ago # -
Shit, those pedals look like something I'd use to chop a tree down

I've tried out a pair of M530 trail pedals on one of my bikes.
I'm coming from M520, and the trail pedals give you a bit more purchase to pedal a couple of revolutions before having to clip in - useful if you're trying to start off uphill or over a bit of rough stuff. However, I wouldn't ride far unclipped because they're too skittish...
