90 front 100 rear and I am heavy.

There is a lot of BS myths about road tyres and pressures, usually based on what works on the track.

Surely you inflate them to what they say on the Tyre?

Or Am I being Gallactically Blonde?

Depends on your weight dosnt it.

I usually run about 100psi for the roads around here, but on lovely smooth roads ill go higher.

Proper lazy pump them up to about 100 but only do it now and then.
They get down to 60-70 Normaly and does not seem to notice.

Just try a few and see what happens

That’s a good link for the Michelins, cheers… I’m using Optimums at 100psi so I guess I should try dropping it a bit.

I’m sure this was asked at the Pro Tour City centre jobbies. They said about 100/110 or 90 in the wet.

I just pump them up until my knackered track pump starts leaking air from the seals.

Same here; are the folk who run different pressures front/rear and wet/dry trolling?

No. Better grip and comfort compromise.

There’s no point in worrying about pressures if you’re using cheap tyres. Get something good like Michelin Pro 3s and then experiment with pressures.

Actually I’d not read that in detail, but I do tend to run quiet low pressures like it says to.

But then I’m not worried about speed really.

120 ish on the road bike
    35 ish on the MTB

But I am heavy, 95kg or thereabout.

110/120 f&r although i have no idea how accurate my track pump is.

60 psi must feel very sluggish.

I’d pinch flat all the time on 60psi.

About a 100 in each tyre for me. Puncture resistance being the main reason.

Similarly MTB tyres go up to about 45-50. A puncture will slow me down a lot more than just losing a little bit of grip.
