I'm looking at a long commute (15mile each way) on my HT and thought I should swap out my 140mm Vanilla fork for something a little more suited to tarmac.
Catch is, MTB carbon forks generally spec a 95kg weight limit (I'm 110). Steel forks are about as heavy as the Fox, so no point to the swap.
I figure the weight limit is based on off road type riding, and the carbon fork will be fine for a tarmac commute. There is no weight limit on my 300g Easton road fork, so why would an 800g MTB fork be restricted if only used on road?
Opinions?

AFAIK the on-one carbon fork doesn't have a weight limit.

rigid steel forks are still way lighter than suspension - TB project twos come in at under 800g for example

Mtb carbon forks are probably rated for off road use. You'd probably be fine on the road

On-one the solution then..
