I've successfully used Nikwak and t'other makes of wash in reproofer with a 'real' tumble dryer. However, I now find myself with a combined washer dryer, where the drying action is to heat and spin (rather than tumble in hot air). It does have a dedicated 'Drying Delicates' setting.

Has anyone reproofed using a similar machine? Did it shrink the jacket to Action Man proportions?

    Cheers

    Yes, well nearly.
The combined washing machine / dryers are a bad idea.
Fabric conditioner works as a waterproofer, thats why towels with fabric conditioner are not as good as towels without FC.

I have no idea what Macavity is blurting on about, but….

I have reproofed loads in our washer\dryer, its a non issue, works fine

    Something Trail Magazine blurted out.
Having tried it – I can categorically say it is nowhere near as good.

Just put the washer on a refresh wash while its empty, then put your stuff in.
