without listening to them, its hard to tell, and in comet and currys some silly sausage always wants to check how loud he can have 1Xtra on the big stereos in the next aisle.

We have a Pure Evoke. Nice and portable for the shed. I had to buy the battery as an extra but its a rechargable and charges when the radio is plugged in the mains. Also has an AUX in for iPods N stuff.
Best sound from a little portable that I've heard, compared to what mates have bought.
+1 for the Pure Evoke, had one for a couple of years now and really pleased with it, only downside is the Pure Lounge website is a little clunky, would buy another one though.
Another shout for Pure, we have a Pure Evoke Flow. Does DAB/FM + internet radio, streams from your computer library and ipod-in. Battery is extra but not too much extra. Good sound from mine, very happy with it. Plumped for it as internet radio is the future, DAB is 80's technology still huffing to get off the start line, it's pretty dated by today's standards. HTH.
+1 I Have the Pure Oasis and many guys on building sites have pure radios too.
Think to be honest pure make the best portable DAB radios.
Pure or Roberts. You can't go wrong with either of these. If you want to be sure it's not too tinny, look for one with twin speakers and a decent sound output. As ever, you gets what you pays for. 
Pure Evoke 2 in the kitchen, Revo Pico in the bathroom, Pure Oasis at work, Roberts Solardab for the garden. The Pure ones are the best sounding, but the Roberts is surprisingly good as it uses rechargable batteries and will last all day outside without needing a charge. All tuned(?) to 6 music.
