PSA 3 for 2 Snow Melt @ B&Q

Local B&Q wee out of sand/grit. but sold me something called Snow melt or similar at c £5 a bottle, 3 for the price of 2
It's crap, don't touch it. The only benefit was that after walking up and down the garden path about 3 times, I'd trampled the snow down enough for the path to be usable
yes, I have a shovel, and if I could dig my way into the shed, I'd get it out and clear the path properly

Is this the stuff that looks like little white plastic balls to start with? If so, agreed, tried it last year - was virtually useless.
