The lower screen surround has been broken for ages, the screws that held it together now have nothing to screw into, so its just the wires connecting the 2 halves. The small metal hinges are intact, if I drill & screw through lower part of screen to connect to hinge am I likely to cause irreparable damage ?

as in no threads left or no material?
could they simply be super glued into position?

Its a HP no eye deer what sort, will look later.

No material for threads, the placcy bit the screws went into broke out initally.

Gaffer tape serpantly fixed it originally !
