Mrs M and I plan to do some walking in the Peaks next weekend, prior to collecting a daughter from Sheffield. We'll be sleeping in the campervan.
Can anyone recommend a nice quiet parking spot to bunk for the night? we could use a campsite of course, but usually don't. We hardly know the area at all.

get an ordnance survey map and check out the little roads. to be honest i reckon most camp sites will be fairly quiet if the weather stays as it is.
don't forget being in between sheffield and manchester there are the odd 'parking' spots.......Posted 11 months ago #
