Maybe it's the only bike that the rider owns. Were they enjoying themselves? Does it matter in the slightest?

Saw some big bikes when I was up there the other week. Assumed there must be some locals only cheeky DH trails.
Fair play to them for lugging the thing up there
My bike's still got lights on it while the sun's shining outside.
sometimes the gnarr is all on the inside
i bet he was faster than you
5" full susser round Rutland water.
Check me the **** out.!
I wish I had a bike for all occasions too!
As already said, maybe it's his only bike.
3'' tyred fatbike........to cruise the gnarr streets of embra.....
oooyah - ton !
Seems reasonable to me. Where there's a hill there's a downhill. You don't need a rocky trail to enjoy a Patriot.
lets all laugh and point because we are so vastly superior
monkfish, put yer knickers on and go and get me a cup of tea !
- it's al, not the real world
I ride a meta 6 along the canal towpath. It rolls so much faster over children and dogs.
Children have no business being near the canal anyway.
and dogs.
And dont get me started on dogs........
children and dogsSee, it's the combination that's most frightening to me. Think of all the mauled and disfigured little faces.
BMX in East Lothian
Full on DH's, including Full Face helmets round Sherwood Pines. With no attempt at the 'wall of death' on the optimistically titled Down Hill bit. Then again I don't 'need' my 4"er round there..horses for relatively flat courses goes out the window when you've only got one pony.
I was slightly overbiked for this last weekend with 140mm of squidge both ends but it's my only bike so apologies to those it offends!
lol at this! Surely you don't actually care!?!
Cynic-al, seen here in his newly appointed role as "bike fashion" police.
Hold on...isn't the OP poking fun at himself in this? The patriot in question being ridden by he, himself, on Leith Hill?
timmys - did you ride over your telly when Eastenders was on?
EDIT - that's how I read it Roadie-in-denial
(few yr ago, I did the south downs way on a bullit with super tacky high rollers
)
Leith Hill is overbikeville.
Heh, hooked a few uh?
I was walking. This place has to be the epicentre or shiney bikes?
And ton I spent much of last weekend at over 3000 feet in the Cairngorms. And the tyres are 4"
*swoon*
I'm permanently overbiked.
I'm never knowingly overbiked- just under exercised
My only bike is a Chameleon, most of the time the forks are locked out and it's got skinny commuting tyres on it.
Poor thing is probably dead embarrassed to be owned by me!
There are a few spots that might justify a big bike on pitch.
How about the 5ft drops on to the flat road?
I think if you consistently did those on a 5inch trail bike it would break. Well at least that's how I broke mine

I broke my 5inch trail bike by "ghostying" it into cars in a supermarket car park. Much more satisfying than riding off 5ft drops to flat.
I was at Leith Hill on my Patriot last weekend. I'll be on it there again tomorrow with Nirvana Cycles on their freeride ride.
