If it were me, with my curmudgeonly attitude going off to forrin parts, I would take some bars of soap.
3 things needed to shave with;
1. Water; the hairs on your chin can be as thick and hard as copper wire, so get them wet. Wetting serves to soften them as the hair absorbs water. Hot water does this well.
2. Something to lubricate the skin. This is to allow the blade to slide over the skin as it cuts the hair. This can be soap, oil or even water alone. I’ve used hair conditioner in the past.
3. A sharp blade. Even cheapo nasty razors can be sharp.
Even people in deepest darkest Cambodia manage to shave, so do what they do.
It’s just shaving, no need to turn it into a fetish. 😉
