My guy let a contractor have £400 worth of gear in November without signing for it 👿
I've only been able to get him by text and have five replies saying that he will pay, are these good enough for proof if I have to go further?

I assume I can download texts somehow.

EDIT; he is saying he will pay and that I'm to stop hassling him.

If you had to go to court they would be pretty helpful but as you say I have no idea how you would present them.

You aso have your guy's evidence that he let the other guy have the kit.

I recently took a large company to court and was suprised how easy it was, (and I won!). Do you know the blokes name and address? A letter advising he has 14days to pay otherwise you'll instigate court proceedings. If no response file a claim online. You just need a bit of evidence (statement from the chap who sold him the items etc). If you need a hand I can send you the stuff I filled out..
