27lbs 15oz, with pedals, mudguards etc – quite happy at that for a Fox 36 HT on 2.4's

    None.

All of them. I ride a lot, managed 115m off-road last week. They keep me (relatively) dry and clean. Also the front one is new, and really keeps the spray from your face/eyes.

TheMightyHigs and Daffy – i don't know where you will be riding tomorrow, but, no mudguards… have you seen the forecast?

No riding for me. Broken leg. Will relish the spray when it finally comes off.

Mudguards recommended for the peaks judging by today's frontal brown-ness. Back wasn't so bad as I had one of them crud catcher things on.

115 metres is nothing to brag about sunny-jim. Specially over the course of a week.

Replace that front mudgurad with a piece of inner tube tied between the gap above your front tyre and the bottom of your steerer. Stops all the spray from your front tyre and makes the bike look much neater.
