   Can't see that this has been done already: From the guardian website today:

   "Snow saved a cyclist from serious injury when he was caught by a rope strung across an offroad track at Hamsterley, County Durham. Police are investigating the incident, which left Lukasz Sikorski, 29, with bruises and a rope-burn".

   I mean WTF? I know its not the first time this sort of thing has happened elsewhere, but as I understand it Hamsterley is a proper trail centre yet some **** muppet still thinks he is in the right to do this! It is of course unacceptable anywhere but this beggars belief...

   Puts the Peaslake stickman to shame!

   I found innertubes stretched across trees on a very busy trail, i guess it was a walker upset with a biker littering the woods, scared the shoot outa me

   Then years ago there were the pointy sticks buried into the ground pointing uphill but that could have been anti horse

   Thing is, with increased exposure of this incident comes the increased likelihood that someone, somewhere thinks that this is a great idea.

   Will we see a sudden spate of these types of incidents? Hope not...
