   Had my shed broken into the other night and had my yeti 575 (new shape, size small, turqouise, carbon swingarm, fox 36's, XO, race face, goldtec hubs and stans rims, etc) PLUS my Arc (turqouise and white, size medium, ding on the top of the top tube, rockshocks SIDS with custom yeti stickers, XO, XT cranks, stans olympics on goldtec hubs etc) nicked. Shed had two massive locks on, and the bikes were fastened down with two motorbike chains, so whoevers had them away must have known exactly what they were up to to come armed with pneumatic bolt croppers or some similairly heavy handed gear.

   They also pinched a pair of mavic crosstrail wheels and an uber niche white industries ENO fixed/freewheel eccentric hub on a 717 disc rim. If anybody sees or hears anything, can you please let me know (bias_1 at hotmail dot com) so i can head around to wherever they are and exact some medieval style revenge on the b@st@rds? And in the meanwhile, dont let your bike out of your sight, cos words cant describe how gutted i am right now... Cheers folks...

   stoke on trent. Had a word with a few folk and it looks like theres quite a lot of high end bikes going missing in the midlands at the minute, and it appears that big locks arent enough to put whoever it is off nicking them.

   its coming towards xmas, dont the crims do this every year? and i know im sounding insensitive but i got complacent and mine got nicked at xmas time last year, if its over a grand it lives in the house, your misses wouldnt keep her rings and dresses and shoes (and all the other crap they spend their money on) in the shed would she?

   bad luck tho, it does suck =(

    Bad news - sorry to hear of your loss

    But you have to wonder where all this high end gear goes when its stolen?

    The Yeti for example (not to mention your hubs) can only have a few places where they can sell, like ebay and classifieds here and a couple of other sites, so youd think distinctive stolen gear would appear all the time

    Or am I missing something?

    what happens is a nice guy buys all the bikes off the blokes who steal them and then puts them in a van and drives them to the other side/end of the country and gets rid there, he then drives back with a load of bikes from that end of the country to sell in his area, my dmr ended up in glasgow, was recovered by the police 2 weeks after getting nicked, i lived in coventry at the time.......

    (edit guy = f##ktard. blokes = c##kbites.)
