Time for some new pillows and wondering if these are any good.
Got a mf mattress and love it, but for your head...

I never got on with MF pillows, but I have a rather heavy head.
At the moment I'm using some latex pillows which seem pleasingly resistant, they do weigh a bloody tonne though.
Same here. Just didnt get on with MF pillows, the feel and the heat were all wrong. Dunlopillo latex pillows however are fantastic! Last decades, dont sag, stay cool, easily washed and perfect for asthma suferers.
I have them, I find that they are quite hot on the head

I slept on a date's MF bed, too hot for me.
Never had good bedding before, just brought a set of pillows and bed covers from the Habitat closing down sale. So comfy I'm struggling to get out of bed in the mornings. Highly recommended zzzz zzzz
The pillows are odd - initial block of concrete feel then your head sinks into it. None of that initial welcoming cush, but comfy once you're asleep - erm... Odd things.
I like memory foam pillows, have this along with mattress.
Find I never suffered stiff neck in the morning which I sometimes get when stopping in hotels with work related stays and not using a memory foam pillow.
I am cold blooded so dont find either the mattress or pillows overly warm.
They are more firm than a conventional pillow, seem thicker, but shape to your head. Very good in IMHO.
hmm yeah the majority of people seem to concur what I thought.
Think I'll give them a miss and look at the alternatives.

Me and my wife had Ikea ones.
She gave up on hers after 3 nights, I love mine, I find it dead comfy.
They're a bit 'marmite' then obviously.....
I love mine.
No more trying to fold and ball up a pillow to support my head properly.
No more waking up with my head at a funny angle and my neck cricked.
No more dead ears.
All good.
Haven't noticed it being particularly hot - but we keep our bedroom quite cool, with a summer duvet all year round.

Love the mattress, can't get on with the pillow at all, good for sitting up and reading but we haven't gelled sleeping wise.
Can folk recommend a good pillow then please?
Mrs FD just spent £60 on a goose down one from John Lewis and I dont like it at all.
Another MF convert here too. I'd been struggling with a cricked neck which was very painful so the missus bought me one. A bit strange at first as they feel quite hard but you soon get used to it. Would never go back to a normal pillow again. Quality of sleep is so much better now.
I am a bed retailer and sell many pillows. The memory Foam can be warm and have an initial softer feel but as your head sinks into them then they get firmer, i could not get on with them personally but we have customers that like them. We sell many more Dunlopillo Latex pillows as they have more "springier" and come in two firmnesses, they are not cheap but last a long time as the latex does not break down quickly like other pillow fillings, they are also healthier. Feather/Down pillows do feel nice but need to be "fluffed up" and lose their loft quickly. Try going into a shop that sells pillows and have a feel of a few and if you can lie on a bed and try them out. Once you have a good pillow you will not go back. If you are local to me in Surbiton, Surrey come into The Bed Post and try a few.

I use a MF pillow - takes a few nights to settle in and get used to but after that I find it very comfy, no problems with getting too hot etc. I guess it's a very personal thing, YMMV. Mrs R has a neck problem and tried every pillow under the sun until I got her one that's filled with water as an experiment which she now swears by. I just worry about it bursting.
This is the style we have:
The top and bottom are higher than the middle section so they support you under your neck while your ear is in the dipped bit.
Very comfy (for me).
Don't see the point in the other style which are basically just normal pillows with different fillers.
