Bought some 2.25 Ardents last week. Ran them yesterday and have mixed views on them. Seem fine in everything except damp woodsy trails. Wet roots seem to be especially bad, even at quite low pressure. Anyway, according to the tyre sidewall there is only one way for them to rotate (looks like normal front wheel directional tread). Just wondered if anyone has tried one on the rear in ??

2.4`s are a bit too big for my skinny rims. Are you running both in the same direction though?

Put a set of Minions, Ardents and Advantages side by side and there's very little difference IMHO.
Same could be said fro Rampages and Nevegals too.

I have the 2.25 Ardents. Great tyres, seem fine in my local woods, though you can get some biiiig drifts going on should you so wish!!
Oh, and I run them both the same direction.
Think they will now be my 3 season tyre of choice, until it becomes time to break out the Mud-X's again.Posted 2 years ago #
