This is a perfect one for STW... I am building up a SS machine, was planning to use a second hand Chameleon frame i picked up but i decided i need a new steel frame too!
I have already purchased all the bits:
2010 RS Revelations U-Turn 120-150mm
70mm Thomson x4 stem
Monkeylite XC md rise bars
Thomson SP
Hope hoops - Flow on Pro3
Atlas cranks
Avid Elixr CR brakes
My shortlist for frames is down to an Orange P7 or an Evil Sovereign, both seem to be similar weight with the P7 leaning towards more XC geometry from what i can tell.
What do owners of the above reckon to their steads, and does anyone have advice on suitable alternatives. I don't want to use a chain tensioner/excentric BB so prefer sliding/horizontal dropouts.
Riding will be mostly trail riding, on lots and lots of lovely singlerack, with the odd days downhill thrown in so don`t want a full on XC machine!
