    Had some wheels built a few years ago. Noticed a couple of spokes are now loose – though wheel is still true.

    Is there such a service as a full retention? or will they just tighten up the loose spokes and send me on my way.

    If you brought it to me I would tighten the loose spokes, check the tension over the whole wheel and true the wheel up. I would be aiming to send you away with a wheel as good as it possibly could be.

    my LBS would tighten it all up and give it a true. I have just in the last 5 mins arranged to drop off a pair of 3 yr old wheels off my FS for just that.

    One of those jobs where a bit of skill goes a long way !!!
