Im going to a trail centre soon, its my first time. Should I buy some knee pads and if so which ones?

depends how you ride and where you are going.

I wouldnt for some of the longer ones and just take it a little easier on the tough bits.

Wouldn't buy knee pads specifically to ride a trail centre. Depends on the trail centre and what kind of riding your going to be doing and your skill level. If your an absolute beginner and wearing knee pads will make you more comfortable/confident go for it, otherwise unless your going to be riding dh/fr trails then save your cash.
