Bought a Joe's NoFlats tubeless kit, have 22.5mm inner bead rims so I bought the 19-25mm kit, does it inflate? Does it ****!!! I have a compressor as well.
The rubber inner doesn't seem to go up to the inner bead of the rim, cant get air in, anyone got any advice?

I found the rim strip didn't seal, and I got all ham fisted and ripped the valve stem out. After that I went Ghetto Tubeless with a 20" presta tube and this sealed much better -probably lighter too. My tube of choice is schwalbe 20" with removable valves so you can add more sealant easily. Frustrating business getting the damned things inflated at first, but once you do it is very satisfying! Use a track pump though and you also get free workout…

tyres are worn but the bead is fine, used warm soapy water, it just looks like the rubber bead supplied is not wide enough even though it says it is.

It takes time and patience… You need to ensure that it's seated properly, greasing the rim with washing up liquid helps too.

If you're still stuck then try immersing the rim and tyre in water and seeing where the seal is leaking.

if that bead went up the rim walls your tires would blow off the rim – its not supposed to go up the sides …

FWIW – all rim strips/ghetto are utter garbage once you have used real tubeless rims with bead locks …..

Tubeless kits are pure and utter $h!t£. I had the same problem with them. I now use it to hold a gate shut. Ghetto on the other hand up first time every time – it's as if the tyres had some viagra inside them.

I used joes kit, and the rim strip was faulty on one on the wheels, it leaked air around the valve.

eventually worked this out and went ghetto in the end.
