I signed up last night too, must be something in the water...
mustardcolman - not that I've anything interesting to say!

I just searched for you, but Twitter says user does not exist. Have you made a spelling mistake?
http://twitter.com/carltonreid can be amusing.
the banning has only served to polarise the forum.
Not totally. I don't know who's in the right and who's in the wrong, and I couldn't give a toss either way. It's not like he can't just create another account.
@getalifeandgiveuptweetingyousadnerd
You realise you've just posted this on a web forum, right? Not only that, but you've taken time out of your day to to go out of your way to read a thread which you know you will have no interest in, before making your valuable contribution of such a witty insight.
you could follow me (@braveluggage). Only had one follower last time I checked
Mind you I've only been on Twitter a little while.
I find that I prefer Twitter to Facebook these days. Twitter works well imho if you're careful to follow people with similar interests, and it's a good way to communicate quickly with mates who are also on there. Personally I get a lot of inspiration from following various ultra & adventure racers & seeing what they're up to. A lot of world news is broken first on Twitter these days, and the trending topics are often a gauge of what's going on in the world at a specific moment (although admittedly, the trending stuff can be complete bawls sometimes)
Follow me if you want @whatnobeer. My flatmate has a cooking blog which has some good stuff on it @SarasCooking. Loads of cyclists out there who are good to follow too.
just remember 140 characters isn't enough to have a rant ...
@alexpalacefan

Ah what the hell, it's not interesting and it's only new but in this day and age technology....
I think this is correct @Kblinds.
@profanityswan (not me) is very good.
he managed to have a good rant about moshiemonsters via twitter this am.
@kinesisuk is very good as well (and cotic and brant and matt from 18bikes) - it's always interesting to see some of the technical discussions and 'behind the scenes' stuff. Good for them in terms of brand promotion too, as well.
Doesn't @self-obsessed narcissist just cover everyone on Twitter?
Binners don't knock it. I hear d-list celebs post photos of what they're eating and people like Danny Mac post links to adverts for their sponsors gear over and over and over. What's not to like?
Then if you get bored you can read what some 'celeb' asks another 'celeb' in a secret spy type satisfying way (even though said celebs have each others mobile numbers and could have texted without blowing smoke up their own arses)
Have I missed anything?
EDIT - I did, I forgot lazy journos
Have I missed anything?
you do know you only have to read what people you're interested in have to say, not everything anyone says don't you?
I'm only messing. Each to their own. Enjoy
billysugger - if it wasn't for Twitter, the Daily Mail would have almost zero 'news' items to 'report'
Damn you Twitter! Feeding the indiscriminately ravenous DM Trolls!
I think it's actually a fact that you technically don't exist these days unless you can be followed on Twitter.
Yay ive got 2 followers already [well i blocked 1] but they both seem to be xxx related.
Do you block them or ignore them?
Presume its just computer generated spam. Is there a filter/setting to stop this?
Thanks
I probably would've known Elf had been banned had I been on twitter.
He's like that T1000 though...

@binlidski
In all fairness you are hardly a prolific tweeter
i'm only on twitter so i can find out where pro mountain bikers go in their vitosport vans.
I hope that isn't elf posting on twitter TBH.
@ iDave
@philconsequence
(only use it for stalking darcy when he's not on the forum)

I think the last one was 4 years ago, wasn't it? About a week after the first one. I can't think of anything more spirit-crushingly tedious for anyone, than being constantly informed as to what I'm up too.
Edit: Thanks for reminding me what my log on is Harry. I'd forgotten.
*runs off to Twitter to see whats going on with Fred*
I'm going to start following triathletes I reckon... training inspiration.
Oh, and Philly for 'other' reasons.
I hope that isn't elf posting on twitter TBH.
I'm pretty sure it is... if not it's a very convincing replica.

Uh-oh: the thick-as-pig**** ugly ****er with the big chin's waded in; spect even more bollocks now
He really isn't a very nice person
Cav is good and Rob Warner's quite amusing. I mostly use it to follow stuff like news announcements (Govt. Depts relevant to my work and the like) to keep me up to speed with new stuff for work. Never directly tweet myself really, only if replying to someone else.
@shitmydadsays is also quite amusing...and insightful! Not very prolific though.
EDIT - Brant is interesting to follow, just to get a look at the industry from the inside and new stuff that On-One/Titus are doing.
I finally joined Twitter a couple of months back, mainly to follow industry stuff in information security (lots of researchers post up stuff). I'll occasionally tweet myself, but that's a rare thing.
I really should start doing something with it, but to be honest, it's a better tool for getting off the press news than most other things.
@jamesey_b if anyone wants to follow me.
By the way, Robert Peston (@Peston) is a decent person to follow though.
If anyone is interseted
@CFWJonBoy

And Chinese cuisine.
Thanks.
@shedfire
Oh...Try @easilytempted.
I'm @miketually on there too. Mainly just moaning about #marking, informing you of my #hometime and photos of bread and chickens.
I hear d-list celebs post photos of what they're eating
Because we're all equal on Twitter, we all get to be D-list celebrities!
