Matt, me of course ๐
Me! I'm @petiterider (dgoab was taken, grrr!) I joined last week - are you copying me? ๐
Why is everyone so interested in bird watching all of a sudden?
Ha, me to!
follow me @ffflow - i won't bother you by twittering very often
Cheers guys...
This has raised a question though... what should my name be?
what is your username?
@TSY_v_MWA
I think it captures my inner turmoil.
I follow a lot of bikey people. Here's some to start with, you can also find all the manufacturers / distributors etc.
@greatrock, @transprovence, @thebikechain, @rabwardell, @ukbikeskills, @singletrackmark, @kendalmountain, @bikemagic, @nsmb, @danjones34, @stevepeat, @mtbcut, @danny_macaskill, @pinkbike, @garyperkin
I'm doug_basquemtb.
I think it captures my inner turmoil.
If that is insofar as it doesn't seem to exist, it does the trick nicely.
Well there is one you could follow that is being quite vocal at the moment for some reason?
๐
I've just confirmed it and stuff Torm?
Well there is one you could follow that is [s]being quite vocal[/s] nursing a hangover at the moment for some reason?
๐
You like that one, innit? ๐
I'm @ukcougar, should you not be completely bored of my inane warblings on STW.
Just followed TSY, my user name is quite easy to guess.
Twit's
@smudgemtb
Right i honestly dont get twitter, im not knocking it at all but what is the point of following peoples random thoughts when you dont know or probably dont want to know them
Not trolling or owt, just curious. Seems pretty stalkerish to me. But im pretty slow on the uptake most of the time ๐
mac tbh... me neither... only one way to satisfy the curiosity though...
It would seem quite a few have crawled up elfins arse.
mac, most people don't post out their random thoughts. You get lots of bike news on there way before it's out in the mags. I follow people to see what's happening in the bike world and keep up to date with what's happening in the UK biking. I follow companies and people and find it brilliant. You have a big group of people there and it can be great to help with stuff. It's like a forum really but not organised into threads.
There are some people who just post random thoughs all the time but not many ime, or at least I've just stopped following them.
Fair doos doug, that makes a bit more sense. oh on another topic looks like im coming out your way this year with a bunch of mates from Aviemore. A few of them were out with you last year and had a belter of a time. ๐

Hey MacTK, big Jamie and Kirsten/Al? They came twice last year. ๐ Fantastic group and happy memories! I spoke to Jamie at the weekend, we were already fully booked for the week he'd asked for but I gave him some alternatives.
I'll look forward to hopefully meeting you!

Not too sure what that means except to highlight that the banning has only served to polarise the forum.
Agree with what doug says regarding Twitter as a business tool and a way of linking the company and the customer.
@dick_barton
im bruders338
Yea Doug thats them, good bunch. Jamie text me last night about dates but it was too late for me to be arsed about ringing him.
Looking forward to it ๐
TSY - it keeps telling me you don't exist...
EDIT: Got you now
I signed up last night too, must be something in the water...
mustardcolman - not that I've anything interesting to say! ๐

I just searched for you, but Twitter says user does not exist. Have you made a spelling mistake?
the banning has only served to polarise the forum.
Not totally. I don't know who's in the right and who's in the wrong, and I couldn't give a toss either way. It's not like he can't just create another account.
@getalifeandgiveuptweetingyousadnerd
You realise you've just posted this on a web forum, right? Not only that, but you've taken time out of your day to to go out of your way to read a thread which you know you will have no interest in, before making your valuable contribution of such a witty insight.
you could follow me (@braveluggage). Only had one follower last time I checked ๐ฅ
Mind you I've only been on Twitter a little while.
I find that I prefer Twitter to Facebook these days. Twitter works well imho if you're careful to follow people with similar interests, and it's a good way to communicate quickly with mates who are also on there. Personally I get a lot of inspiration from following various ultra & adventure racers & seeing what they're up to. A lot of world news is broken first on Twitter these days, and the trending topics are often a gauge of what's going on in the world at a specific moment (although admittedly, the trending stuff can be complete bawls sometimes)
Follow me if you want @whatnobeer. My flatmate has a cooking blog which has some good stuff on it @SarasCooking. Loads of cyclists out there who are good to follow too.
just remember 140 characters isn't enough to have a rant ...
