We are looking at a new telephone call recording solution for our second site, and the call recorder we have on the first site is ok at best.
So what so other people use and what are the opinions of them? And what would you recommend?

ISDN 30 - a total blast from the past...
I've no real idea but from my vague recollection of it, you are likely to need some sort of solution at where the cables come into the building...so that the voice goes through this solution so it can be captured...how that is done I don't know.
(and I've just realised you are already likely to know that and I've been no help at all...sorry)
Hmm. DASS, DPNSS, ISDNe? Recording the trunks or selected extensions? If extensions, are you running TDM or IP? Any CTI integration needed? What do you want to store calls on and for how long? What security do you want around replaying of calls? Lots of questions. If I were you I'd have a chat with the bigger players and see what they have to suit your needs / budget. A nice solution on the cheaper end (but by no means does that mean a poor solution) is available from Redbox (the company was formed by some ex Racal people I think) and there products seem to work reliably for us. If you are feeling rich, try Verint (they bought Witness a while back)
More questions to add to the list, Why do you want/need recording? If it's for staff training then you need something that you can data onto the call recordings so that supervisors etc can search/retrieve on for example call wrap up codes. If it's for compliance then the regs/commandments will play a big part in steering you towards the correct choice.

ISDN30 is irrelevant. That really just indicates the type and number of concurrent channels coming into the business. You could have a call recording solution hanging off a couple of analogue channels or ISDN2.
The clever stuff will be within the onsite solution you choose, the PBX which captures and distributes calls, manages your call attendant and routes calls around your network or to voicemail etc.
The amount you store and how you manage that is up to you.
I'm a fan of Mitel but Alcatel are also very good but it depends on the size of your business.

Erm, ISDN30 or ISDN2 is relevant. Quite a difference between primary rate and basic rate and what they will connect to. Anyway, back to the OP, speak go some vendors, costs nowt to ask!

Haven’t got a clue
All i know that we have an ISDN 30, 8 lines coming in to our building and that is connected to a Nortel BCM50. The Phones are not IP phones.
