Ok, I’m well behind in terms of technology but borrowed my wife’s 4s last weekend and used GPS2OS and Endomondo.

So I get my upgrade from my old Lg to iPhone 3GS from O2…..

Stick in my old sim card but note that whilst using GPS2OS her one is accurate to 5m, mine to 100m….bit gutted.

Anyone any idea why this should be?

You’ve been fobbed off with a 3 yr old phone is why! The iPhone 4 has a much newer/better GPS chip. O2 would have probably given you one for free if you’d told them you were going to another network.

    Most helpful.

The wife is just about to go for a 3 on the basis they are dirt cheap now. Maybe the 4 is worth it.

Had all models and they drop gps signal constantly. As soon as your off road with a smattering of trees then it’s awful. IMO of course

Had the 3GS, now have the 4s. The 4s gets signal quicker, but haven’t noticed any other difference

I love my iPhone and have never noticed a problem with the GPS, but if you need a GPS, buy a GPS. Right tool for the job and all that…
