The Oasis gig in Heaton Park is about a mile and a half away from where I live. So far we've had 15 minutes of Kasabian's bass and my son won't go to sleep.
10 years ago I would have been there, but now i'm hoping for a power failure.

If Kasabian sounds bad, its gonna get worse when the pub band take the stage. I can't see them giving their full back line to a support that would blow them off the stage...

dont worry it happens to us all...
the local pub who's beer garden is about 200ft from the end of our garden, has started up the cover bands on bank holiday weekends....
the other week i started to loose it as shite cover band after shite cover band started playing... i actually picked the phone up to complain and the wife gave me that look of "are you being serious???!!" i put the phone down slumped into deckchair and sulked...

Blimey. That's a £3,500,000 refund that they promised.
It went on until about 11:30 and I have to say that me and the missus went out to sing along in the street towards the end.
Maybe i'm not so miserable after all.
It's gonna piss it down for the Saturday and Sunday gigs though... will the crowd get their money back for that too?

Perhaps i'm developing some strange powers. Earlier on in the week I did wonder if the star of a 70s TV show was going to w@nk himslef to death in a wardrobe in Thailand... and now this happens as well.
