    Have done a forum search, but to no avail….

    Does anyone know where to get cheap stainless steel bearings to fit a Hope bottom bracket yet?

    I think they are 'custom' made for Hope by INA so doubt you'll find cheap ones – have you tried cleaning & regreasing?
