    Once more, they’re bloody brilliant.

    sent in one of the battery packs from my 6-year old (!) Vision2 lights on friday cos it had a faulty connection. Just got it back with a new lead fitted, free. And its not the first time I’ve sent them back.

    Happy me.

    Its posts like this that make me think that switching exclusively to Hope hubs was the right thing to do.

    Yesturday hub needed sorting out so went over to there new building which looks AWESOME, the reception area looks nice with loads of pictures hanging from the walls of new and old riders and new and old bikes on display too. Wish I had asked them if I could have taken some pictures, infact i might when i go back to pick my hub up.

    Always had good service from them Sorting out brakes lights and bb in the past

    had a similar experience just after xmas. Intermittent connection to the light of my vision 2, sent it back and had it back with me within 2 days fixed. It was 2.5 years old too.

    Thought I had a problem with it on sat night in the snow, kept getting this flickering light but in a really wide beam pattern. Turned out it was snow melting on the lens, made me kick myself after I worked it out.

    I have been meaning to put one of these threads up myself. without sounding too gushing.

    Just after new year my rear hub started creaking and I was due to fit a new set of bearings, for whatever reason mid rider the axle sheared in two seperating free hub from wheel itself and snapping the qr.

    The hub (an old xc) was bought second hand from here about 8 years ago and I wrote to them in hope of some advice if it could be recovered. Remarkably they offered to replace the broken parts under warranty. Off the wheel went and for the cost of a new set of bearings and pawls I have a wheel which is better than ever. I thought this was pretty remarkable service and well beyond any reasonable expectations.

    Wow that’s a brilliant video, so nicely shot. Now that’s bike porn. Love Hope stuff and their whole ethos is great, long may it continue.

    Just shows it is still possible to run a successful manufacturing business in this country (that’s not weapons or fighter planes 😛 )

    I emailed them to ask for advice on fixing up some old s/h brakes I bought off here, they got back to me straight away, told me to ring the workshop and talked me through the whole process. Really helpful and friendly.

    Its for all the above mentioned reasons ive had as much Hope stuff as i can on the new Orange 5 ive ordered,like Hope theyre a great british Co,shame theres not more like them to fly the flag,we are renowned world wide for engineering here in the UK,but sadly its going to ting tong! .

    Exact same issue as the OP 2 or 3 weeks ago. I had snagged my cable quite hard and it obviously hurt the connector. I was glad enough knowing there is somewhere to send them back to pay to get fixed, however, 2 days later and back with new lead and no charge.

    I have two Hope lights and will buy more when / if they ever die. I also have a set of Hoops and a set of brakes.

    Other experiences in the bike sector: –

    Trek – cracked Liquid frame, replaced without argument
    Hayes – Part for the bleed kit sent from the US foc, their UK distributor wasn’t interested!!

    There seems to me to be a disproportionately high level of customer service in the bike market or perhaps I just read the horror stories and avoid those companies…

    I had exactly the same problem as the OP – 5/6 year old Visions with a loose connection, same story, all FOC.

    God help us all if their fountain of goodwill ever runs dry.
