   Gonna give ghetto a try this week and have been investigating types of sealant.

   Off the shelf types are fairly self explanatory with info and reviews all over tinterweb.

   Homebrew, however, is more difficult to find info on. Got loads of recipes but not a lot explaining why certain things are included.

   Why do people use slime along with latex and why water? Surely the water will just dry up and/or not mix properly?

   I am inclined to try 1 part latex, 1 part screen wash + some rubber shavings to help with the begger holes.

   Am I barking up the wrong tree and should just go for stans or caffelatex?

   Sorry for the million questions.

   I use artshop latex and water, about 3 or 4 to 1 works well, replace it every 3-4 months or when changing tyres. The water just stops it drying out too fast or being too thick to cover the inside of the tyre well. I've not felt the need to try slime or glitter, by the time the latex mix has been in there a few days there's enough part-dried material to plug holes fast.

   Ok that's good to know.

   Just to clarify, is that 3 parts latex? So just a bit of water to thin it slightly without losing the latex properties.

   Looking forward to some tubeless action

   Got some latex from an art dealer and watered it down roughly 2 part latex to 3 water.

   Has sealed both my old conti vertical pros no problem. Ill have a go with some rubber shavings if I need to.

    My son plays footy on an astroturf pitch, which has rubber chippings spread all over it. Don't know why, but they make a nice bulk-filler and all I have to do is empty his boots.
