So first roadie appearing in the next couple of weeks, normally I cover my mountain bike frames in copter tape. But have neither had a carbon or a road frame before…. do I need to? I imagine you don’t get chain slap on a road bike?

I wish I had on my chain-stay, and if you don’t have the rubber things on the cables by the head chuck some there, not seen much of a need anywhere else.

I’d put a little in the usual cable rub spots, but otherwise leave it.

Mines got quite a bit of chain slap from riding on rougher roads but it came with a chainstay protector of sorts (looks like skateboard grip tape).
