Trying it out on a new Maxwell MAXimum 4gb rated class 4
Also when I programed the camera to start up on video mode
Every time i started the camera up it always started up on
the Self timer mode
Does the same happen to you ?

No it starts up on video mode.
You shouldn't have needed to change the startup setting as video is the default setting.
Maybe try a Kingston sdhc card in there as there have been reports of not all cards working with it.

I've got a Lexar from Jessops - 8gb and class 4. Bougght a new hard drive for the computer and pretty staggering that it will only take about 6 loads from the card!
It worked in woods at 4pm - if I was using a DSLR it would be down to a pretty slow shutter speed, so I was very impressed.
Grantway - it started up in the self timer mode and needed to toggle along to video mode. I then just left it on.
Going to try and get out this afternoon to try out the damping thing.
Still amazed at what they can fit into such a small piece of kit (hope it works soon for you though, Grantway).

Ok But regardless of trying to set this up it keeps
going into self timer
It defo needs to go back, just the secound oneWhere did you buy your one from?

One thing when it did film it was jolting when whatching back
It was not a seamless flow if that makes sence?
It was if i turned on the video and start and stopped it

Try connecting it to your TV and it should give a clear uninterupted
playback.Oh and mine came from CRC with 10% off.

But I had recieved an email from GoPro HQ and I have done
what they have asked when I set it up and used.
So has to go back.
Third one unsure to be honest maybe refund and think again
