Anyone got any recommendations for some SW to take a gpx or trl file and a folder fill of photos and edit the exif data to add lat and lon etc?

Thanks, will have a look tomorrow.

Just been trying out http://www.onaround.com/immageo/ but it crashes when presented with 2000 photos in one go 🙁

edit: it also doesn’t seem to edit the EXIF, just put the coords somewhere else, so no good for Flickr uploads.

If you’re a flickr user GPStagr will let you geotag photos that are already uploaded to flickr using a gpx file

That Google app is great, it’s just working through all 2000 of my holiday snaps now.

Hi I use Geosetter – free and very effective with lots of functionality.

There is also a program called GPSBabel that can convert one type of GPS output file into another – very useful.

OK, the Geotager worked fine but Flickr is being a pain, even though all the photos are tagged I have to manually add each one to it’s map – any neat workarounds?

There used to be an import geotagged photos page in Flickr, presume something similar still exists. Can’t check as Flickr banned here
