Taken me ages to get this built up, but I'm pretty happy with it! Had a couple of hours on it yesterday round some local trails, all pretty flat so not the best terrain for 140mm of travel, but it seems very nice so far…

    (gardening advice welcome as usual…)

I know what you mean- even with a discounted 09 frame from Merlin, it was never going to be a "budget" build… The brakes and most of the drivetrain are cheap OE stuff, but I got carried away with the wheels 🙂

composite! ha ha i think it maybe those expensive bearings i put in 🙄

We'll see i'm generalising until i take the back end to bits, maybe that the bolts aren't at the correct torque.

Yep! Still playing with the position- it's a little shorter than the 19" Cotic I've been riding.

No, mine has a DHX4 coil on it. ChunkyMTB used have a pushed Van coil in his.

    They are the shizzle 8)

Just finished it's second Alpine trip – faultless.

why the RP2/3 and not the van coil in alps chunky?

The coil is a very tight fit around the top eyelet – touches the rockers. PUSH are going to run the MX Tune on it for me (custom CNC head and adjusters) The RP3 is fine in the alps anyway.

    ah, that explains it.

    are the forks u turn…?

Yes- Rev Team, u-turn 120-150, 20mm maxle, off Merlin. Set at 140 at the moment, could have got away with a fixed-travel fork, but it's nice to have the option to fiddle with it… The 09 and 10 frames on the Turner website seem to be the same frame geometry-wise, just specced with 140/150mm forks respectively.

Yeah, seems fine. It's tight, but no problems. Turner confirmed it was designed to take air or coil shocks.
