Rush – Exit stage left, only have 2 live albums the other is Raw Melody Men which I was not that taken with as I've seen NMA live so many times anyway.
funny, I daren't listen to my most memorable live albums – they were my big brother's & I remember thinking how bloody cool they all were
(suspect I'd dislike some of them quite a lot now)
Scorpions, Rush, Deep Purple – and all that
1st gig I went to was UFO at the town hall in middlesbrough
then we got punk…. 😀
I don't much like live albums – just makes you think how much better it'd be if you were there (he has some ace springsteen bootlegs)
+1 for The Ramones It's Alive, just awesome. Side 3 on the double vinyl is unbelievable 12 songs all about 2 minutes long thrashed out with Dee Dee going 1 2 3 4 to seperate the songs. Love every seconD
Deep Purple – made in japan
It Bites – thankyou & goodnight
Led Zep – song remains the same
Rush – all of them! Exit stage left is my favorite
Francis Dunnery – one night in sauchiaul? st
It's so good, their stuff just works really well live, especially with the San Fran Symphony Orchestra in the background. Plus, it includes some really good exclusives. No Leaf Clover is so good! 😀
My current favourite is Within Temptation's Black Symphony.
And a few others I like:
Evanescence – Anywhere but home – Live in Paris
Nightwish – End of an era (Last live gig with Tarja, and I was there 😀 )
Faithless Live at Alexandria Palace
Oh and Iron Maiden – Flight 666
I'd second Mr Cash in a certain prison, and Mr Cobain unplugged.
I'd like to add Chuck Ragan – Los Feliz, and although Bruce's 1975-85 is pretty awesome, for me the Live at the Hammersmith DVD in the Born to Run anniversary box set knocks it into a cocked hat. Although that's a DVD and thus may not count.
rotor stern, If only I could get a copy of Mares Nest! Maybe, as there seems to be something happening on the Cardiacs website I may do before I expire!
