I've never bought a UST tyre before. What's out there?

Name a tyre. There's probably a UST version of it. Specialized. Maxxis. Schwalbe. Continental. Bontrager. All do tubeless versions of most of their tyres.

Bonty XR2 are good for the dry. Fast but big volume.

Furious Fred! You won't get a faster or lighter UST tyre.

Hutchy Python airlights, but don't expect any grip in the damp.

Try Freds, you won't get much grip in the dry either!

    Skid-tastic!

Light and UST just don't seem to go together.

I just use normal tyres tubeless with Stans fluid and not had a problem yet.

Neninja's right, choose your brand carefully and they work very well, Schwalbe are great, people say good things about Maxxis, Conti are a bit hit and miss, Panaracer are a no.

Geax Saguaro TNT. pretty fast, pretty grippy (in the dry….not tried them in the wet) and mine are 580g each

Those Furious Freds look mental!! I'm after a dry conditions tyre but that might be a step too far 😉 . I've noticed there is surprisingly little choice when it comes to fast UST tyres, and I keep slicing or bursting the regular ones when I run them tubeless. Hrumph!

I've moved from my usual 'almost-freeride' tyres to the 2.1" ADvantage LUST tyre. Wouldn't say they were 'light' at approx 750g, but they're faster than anything I've used for a while, think its the harder compound and skinnier size.

Depends what you're comparing to I guess.

They're 'entertaining' certainly! 410g for a UST one IIRC, so pretty impressive.

What about Racing Ralphs? Somewhat more sensible, good 3-season tyres!

Try the double defense Racing Ralph

Pretty light with puncture and sidewall protection.
