Doing my first set this weekend, any advice greatly received. Preferably with some normal bits found in the garage (washers/threaded rod/Yeti frame bushing removal tool etc). Thanks.

DU Removal for Fox Shocks - Possible without removal tool?

I used an old XT front axle, the cones that came with it and a selection of washers and sockets to pull and push the DU bushes out and back in to my shock. Worked a treat.

I'll second that - selection of sockets and a vice. Vice very useful/near essential!
One technique that used to work on my Manitou was to start the old bush moving with a socket and then use the new bush to press it right through. With care.

Third that, a couple of sockets and a vice. Mallet at a push.

yes but as you will have to keep doing them the tool might be a good investment, I got it, and it was very easy. As I have 3 Fox shox thought it was worth it

The way I see it is that the LBS charges to do the job and the tool pays for itself fairly quickly. And when peole borrow it you get free beer!
