I help organise an annual sponsored ride that raises a fair bit of money that we distribute to local charities.

I’d love people to be able to raise their sponsorship money for our event via JustGiving or VirginMoneyGiving, but we’re not a charity, so we can’t do that (for logistical reasons it would be a total pain if people raised money directly for the charities we pass the money on to, and brought their JustGiving printouts to the event).

So, does anyone have direct experience of running a small charity, and if so how much of a pain is it? (I’m the event’s treasurer, so it would be my pain).

Or, are there any trustworthy JustGiving equivalents out for raising money for non registered charities?
