    i think the phrase is a hatched egg, so i assume the egg hatchs

    A chicken hatches from an egg, an egg hatches.

    A bit like the way you can evacuate a building, but you can't evacuate a person. Unless you suck the poo out of them, but that's probably not what you meant.
