Recently bought a server from Dell, customer has now told me that it's too large and wants to change the order. I've asked Dell to take it back (within 1 day of receiving the order), but they say as it was no error on their part, they won't accept it. I thought the distance selling regs allowed you to return something (for whatever reason) within 7 days of receipt? Can anyone clarify for me?

My understanding is that you are correct. Assuming you bought online/mail order you can change your mind within 7 days and get a full refund. The seller has to refund all money including delivery and can't charge any admin charges or restocking fees.
Does DSR cover business?
I thought it was purely consumers that are covered
Was it made to a spec you supplied or a stock item?
