I rode my CX bike on one of my regular (easy) MTB routes on the Quantocks today. It's the second time I've ridden it on the same 18 mile route, last time I clocked 1hr, 30min, 17sec, this time I clocked 1hr, 30min, 19sec. I didn't feel anywhere near as knackered as I would on a MTB and my MTB times are more in the 1hr 40's.
What's likely to break first on the CX, wheel's, carbon forks, or frame? it makes some horrendous noises when I fail to avoid some of the tennis ball sized rocks

saladdoger, the Quantocks is pretty slippery at the moment due to the dusty trails, it's best that you avoid it because we don't want you falling off (again). Oh, hang on, it's not just dusty trails that you fall off ofX

Nevermind the bike breaking, your old bones must be like dust by now aren't they?
