  • Cutting hydro cable (rear) – what do I use?

Was going to set about it with my cable cutters – is this wise, or would I be better using a stanley knife blade?

They're either XT or XTR hoses, can't remember which, not braided or anything, but I get the feeling the cable's wire-reinforced (although that might be rubbish).

    Cheers!

i use my cable cutters, makes a reasonable job of it, needs a little reshaping afterwards.

Stanley knife makes a far nicer job of it and doesnt need re-shaping.

Used cable cutters on standard and braided hoses with no problems.
