& a decent amount of zoominess, like 10+, is there such a camera?
Off on jollies on Friday & don't want the 'bulk' of our G1. I've an Olympus with a big screen but I'm crap at composing shots with it & am better with a viewfinder, plus It'll be sunny & I find it hard to see the image in sunlight.
Any reccomendations without spending a fortune?

Much the same problem as you - I wanted a viewfinder.
Got a Fuji X10 - not a big zoom. Good pics though.
Irony - I still find myself composing on the lcd screen.

+1 for view finder. You can't use the camera without one when it's sunny.
