Black is so boring, but why can’t I find anything else?

A lot of women’s stuff is pink, which I also hate. I don’t need women’s specific stuff per se but some bright greens and reds would be wicked.

Any recommendations? I’m thinking jerseys, softshells etc.

if all you can find is black i suggest looking a bit harder, most road clothing brands are available in colours from tasteful to oh my god!!!!

Look at Campag, Mavic, Castelli, Assos, etc.

Surely more colourful clothing would need more time spent in co-ordinating clothing in case one is arrested by the Style Police on the trail?

I personally don’t like to be noticed – ride on my own a lot and enjoy wildlife spotting.

There’s some nice clothing here but Scott seem pretty difficult to get hold of in the UK:

Castelli stuff seems to hit the mark for me for quality vs. price.

They’re not cheap but the Scandinavian outdoor brands tend to use alot of vivid blues and greens. Norrona now do mtb specific clothing and Haglofs would be worth a look for soft shells etc.

Dare2B also tend to use similar colours and always seem to have jerseys and soft shells on sale. Nowhere near the same quality though.

Ah lovely, the Haglofs stuff is just what I’m looking for. Thanks. I don’t fancy wearing Assos roadie stuff off road, it’s too ruddy expensive!
