    As per title really.
I'm looking for something that'll take 140 mil forks if possible, for around a grand or less.
Mainly for speedy winter rides. Not SS I haven't got the knees for it!

    Any ideas chaps?

if you want 140mm forks on it I can't think of anything other than a carbon456

just get a 'normal' frame and decent forks/lightweight tubeless wheels

Got an old Giant xtc ex hire bike with hope hubs, mavic wheels and fox forks etc, just wanted something a bit faster as the frame is pretty heavy.

There can't be many carbon XC frames that are made to take 140 forks, it seems a very British thing to do.

Clearly the new 456 is perfect and possibly the only choice.
