    My car was stolen Monday night and has yet to be recovered. All reported etc. My insurance policy covered me 3rd party fire and theft for driving someone else's car, is this still likely to be in place. I presume the policy is still active, currently have to wait a week to see if it turns up.

    I'll be asking my insurers in the morning,just wondered if anyone knew

    Yup! Just because your car has been nicked the insurance company won't cancel the policy! so your insurance is still valid .. unless there is smoethign dodgy or you have cancelled it.

    Check first.

    Several insurance companies cancel policies straight away, especially in the case of theft.

    And btw, if you can drive other cars it will probably be Third Party Only, not TPF&T.

    Plus the other car has to be insured by its owner as well.
