Old coil has the cylinder numbers written by each socket, the new coil has three numbers dependent on the coil its replacing. The instructions shows to compare the number on the unit to determine which numbers to follow, but the sticker containing the number is missing on the old one.

The only clue is that the old one has the numbers in a circle, and the new one has a triangle, square and circle by each, so I’m guessing go with the circles. That puts the leads in physically the same place as the old one as well. The new unit is a genuine Ford one.

If its wrong, will it just run even worse/not at all when I try to start it, (currently on two cylinders) or will it go bang?!
