What do you all know about Canfield, like them or not?

All I know about them is that Mitch Ropelato rides one, and after seeing him ride I'm sure he's going to make it to the big time.
As for the bikes, I'd buy one on function, but not too keen on their graphics or looks

Awesome, great to deal with, and I'd sell a kidney for a Jedi.

Why, are you about to start flogging/bigging up these things at every opportunity as well as chumba?

    I presume that annoys you?

They look great, rockard, i like them, i think all the bikes with the full floating rear end work very well, but bearings wear out quite quickly tho, but if i was after a double linkage bike id get a canfield, defo.

Nah, I find it sexually exciting. Your blatant adverts are like porn to me, bring them on.

I like your irrepressible enthusiasm Si. How much crawling do I need to do for a cutprice dh frame? 😉

The wheelbase looks a little short for a DH bike, though it could be the picture, would like to see a side shot of the trail version.

It looks awkward as DH but good in the trail picture.

PS:- I like the subtle product placement, Brant did it for years 😉 notice it much less now his route to market has changed though.

I'm not a fan of the new bendy tubes but the linkages look sweet! I can't imagine it will be that light or pedal at all. I'd love to try one out on a nice alpine trail. This is my baby:

IMO – fugly, but what do I know about such bikes?

Wonder how it would sit with Chumba – are they not quite similar?

Not my cup of tea, but not ugly. I can only comment on the looks of course.

    Is this your market research?

Interesting bikes. Never seen one out and about in the UK. Some of the ideas (rear wheel path) seem to make quite a lot of sense, but no idea what the trade off is. Tyre clearance always seems to be absolutely abysmal.

I'd love a medium balance, its an eternal search for me 🙁

I suppose it is part of the market research, though i suspect that most STW users are not your typical Canfield customers. Canfield bros claim that the The One pedals very well so maybe it could be a true all rounder?

Looks ace, but I'd rather take a vf2. Sadly i can afford neither

The One, set up for downhill looks a great uk dh bike, but it depends on the pricepoint.
Currently, buying them direct from chris, with the import duty, they work out quite pricy. I know I was pretty miffed at how expensive my crampons worked out.
