It can get better; I’m just tidying up at work prior to departing for 2 weeks of sunshine in South Africa, taking my carbon roadie and finishing up by riding the Cape Argus race in Cape Town on 11 March. Next weekend I shall be doing an altitude training ride in a game reserve called the Suikerbossie with a bunch of riders I know there.

I guess you’ve not seen a lot of Fife then. I used to say “Get to Fife” instead of another well known phrase when I was younger. Now lived there for 11 years and love it. Beaches, trails, hills and nicely central to get to everywhere else in Scotland as well.

haha – im from arbroath. ive seen plenty of fife – usually riding through for some grim TTs from falkland area.

falkland freeride is fun though.

st andrews and that coastline is a complete horror fest though. and alot of the roads all over fife remind me of england and feel like death traps due to narrow + hedges and fast moving cars

Haha, get tae Fife is a Dundonian phrase. Back in the day my mate used to say that 50p was the best bargain ever did get over the Tay.

The East Neuk is pretty bad, especially on a Sunday. Great scenery though and brilliant wee villages. Glen Clova/Glen Doll is still one of my favorite places in Scotland though.
