Can you do this? I’m either after big boxes of individual chains (x10, x20, x50 etc) or a big long reel (50m, 100m etc).

Merlin do x3 deals but to get more you’d need to talk to your LBS I suspect.

I was thinking something similar after considering bulk chainsaw blades. But never seen it for sale.

Don’t think we can get chain on a long roll,but can try to do you a good deal for a large quantity of singles.What size chain is it please that you need ( ie 1/8″,or 3/32″ 6/7/8sp,9sp,10sp ) and what sort of quality ?

yes kmc suply there chains to wholesale in bulk 25/50 boxes as singles for workshop use but also can be got on the reel but harder to sorce

Any LBS with a Fishers account (i.e. any LBS) should be able to get you a bulk box of chains just like they buy for their workshop.
